Augustana College Athletics

Coach Wes joined the Augustana coaching staff in 2022 as an offensive assistant helping coach the offensive line. In 2023 he moved over to the defensive side to coach Tackles & Nose Guards. 
 
He has over 25 years of coaching experience at various levels throughout Iowa and Illinois to include stints at United Township, Alleman Catholic, and Davenport North High School where every year his team either won the conference championship and/or competed in the IHSA playoffs.
 
Wes also continues to coach professionally for the Indoor Football League (IFL); 4 seasons with the Quad City Steamwheelers and one season with the Bismarck Bucks. He’s held several roles including Offensive and Defensive Line Coach, run game Defensive Coordinator, and Quality Control Coach specializing in data analytics for game planning and execution. Wes has exhibited great success while in the IFL clinching 5 consecutive playoff berths, an Eastern Conference Championship, and a National Championship runner-up.
 
Coach Wes played football collegiately as a tight end and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Saint Ambrose University in 1998. He and his wife Maria have been married for 25 years and have 2 children; Lissette & Macio.
