DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings men's and women's track & field teams saw several records broken at the multi-day Drake Relays from Thursday-Saturday.

On Thursday, Lina Maatouk broke her own record in the 800m and won the unseeded race with a time of 2:07.46, one of just two Division III athletes to finish inside the top 10. Joe Langridge also set a school record on the first day in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing with a time of 8:54.45 to finish in 10th overall. Emma Odle clocked a time of 11:16.30 in the same event on the women's side to end in 21st.

On Friday, Charlotte Frere earned second place in the discus event with a toss of 49.95m, the lone Division III athlete in the top five. McKenzie Reser clocked a time of 11.90 in the 100m to earn 15th and break her own school record in the event. In the sprint medley relay, the team of Cora Deemer, Jordyn Van Santen, Reser, and Maatouk set a school record with a second-place time of 4:01.65, less than a second behind the first-place team from Minnesota State. The Vikings also saw a record break in the 4x200 relay as Shakira Wade, Reser, Deemer, and Van Santen crossed the finish line in 1:41.95 to shatter the old time by nearly two seconds.

On Saturday, the men's team saw another record go down in the shuttle hurdle event, with AJ Banks, Bayley Pierce, Mike Hudson, and Brayden Veil posting a time of 1:01.60. Maatouk, Reser, Marie Weber, and Odle took third in the women's DMR with a mark of 12:10.13, good for second-fastest in program history, while the men's team of Joe Gibbons, Ben Char, Daniel Prochaska, and Langridge took ninth in the same event. Elsewhere, Heather Michalski placed eighth in the javelin with a distance of 40.13m, while Magnus Wells' throw of 53.92m put him 12th overall.

The Vikings will be back in action next weekend for the CCIW Outdoor Championships.
