INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Members of the Augustana men's and women's track & field teams competed at the two-day Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson on Thursday and Friday.

Mike Hudson was the winner of the javelin event after posting a mark of 50.54m. Magnus Welss went 10th and 11th overall in the shot put and discus to wrap up field events on the men's side. On the track, AJ Banks competed in the 110m hurdle prelims and placed seventh at 14.64.

On the women's side, Cora Deemer posted a qualifying time in the 100m prelims with a time of 12.56. Heather Michalski placed eighth in the shot put with a toss of 12.11m. 

Augustana wraps up its busy weekend with day three of the Drake Relays and a visit to the Drake Alternative at Knox on Saturday.
