WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings women's track & field team boasted a trio of school records on Saturday at the final indoor meet before the national championships.
McKenzie Reser set a new school record in the 200m after posting a first-place time of 24.49. The time is a new meet and facility record and currently places her No. 11 in all of Division III in the event.
Lina Maatouk also set a new program record in the 800m run after winning the event in 2:10.64, which also puts her at No. 7 in Division III. Also setting a school record was the women's 4x400 relay team of
Cora Deemer, Maatouk, Reser, and
Jordyn Van Santen. The time of 3:52.56 places them No. 19 in Division III currently.
Elsewhere,
Lauren Oelke placed fifth in the 60m hurdles with a personal-best time of 9.51.
Emma Odle took third in the 5,000m with a time of 17:53.45, while
Cora Heller highlighted field events with a personal best in the pole vault after clearing 3.47m. The mark puts Heller No. 25 in Division III at the moment.
Heather Michalski took fourth in the shot put with a distance of 13.36m.
The Vikings will await the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships selections to be released tomorrow.
