HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Augustana Vikings men's track & field team competed at the two-day Southern Miss Invitational on Friday and Saturday, squaring off against a highly-competitive field ranging across all divisions.
Magnus Wells saw success across numerous events, highlighted by a third-place finish in the javelin after throwing 59.68m. The mark is good for fourth-best all-time in program history.
Mike Hudson came in seventh in the event after posting a distance of 55.55m. Wells also came in ninth in the shot put, 11th in the hammer, and 14th in the discus.Â
Elsewhere,
AJ Banks came in seventh in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.94, also finishing in eighth in the 400m hurdles after clocking 56.40.
Bayley Pierce was close behind in 10th at 56.61.
The Vikings will be back in action next weekend to host the Viking Olympics.
