GALESBURG, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's golf team conquered the Knox Fall Finale on Tuesday with a final score of 621 while Augie's B team tied for fourth with a score of 642 and the C team finished in eighth place with 653 points.
Drake Stoudt was the individual champion shooting a total of 149 with round scores of 74 and 75 to finish 5-over. Jacob Brokaw followed in a tie for seventh with scores of 77 and 78 for a total of 155, while Sam Evenson collected a top-10 placement with a final score of 156 after hitting 84 and 72. Evenson's round two score was good for the best round score of the day. Alexandre Thery hit 158 after round scores of 80 and 78 to tie for 11th, while Thomas Fornelli tied for 13th with 159 and Luke Petersen shot 160 to tie for 17th.
Other finishers for Augie were Oscar Van Dongen (162), Adam Soczka (162), Aiden Salcedo (163), Kevin Cortez (166), Patrick McGrath (167), Jakob Stefanowicz (168), Elias Evander (168), Noah Ehlenbach (168), and Justin Goebel (173).
The Knox Fall Finale indicates the conclusion of the fall season for Augie's men's golf. The spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
