BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings football team will look to get back to .500 and make it three straight wins overall as they gear up to face the Illinois Wesleyan Titans on Saturday, November 13 in both team's season finales.
Illinois Wesleyan sports a 3-6 record overall and are 3-5 in CCIW play. The team was defeated in their most recent outing against No. 6 ranked Wheaton by a score of 72-7. The Titans trailed 48-0 at halftime and finished with -34 rushing yards in the game. Through the air, they nearly matched Wheaton in that category finishing with 207 yards to the Thunder's 233. Quarterback Sage Shindler was 24-40 for 168 yards and had four interceptions. As a team, they allowed five sacks. Illinois Wesleyan is 3-3 in their last six game after beginning the season 0-3 and have scored over 50 points twice this season in their wins over Elmhurst and North Park.
The Vikings have lost six straight to the Titans, with their most recent matchup coming in the shortened 2020 season. Illinois Wesleyan defeated Augustana 12-0 in Rock Island back in March. The Titans lead the all-time series 48-37-1.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
