Kyle Lombardi's goal for Berry cut Augustana's lead to 7-3 at halftime.
Christian Akers scored the first goal of the third quarter to make it 7-4, but Augustana responded with two goals by Hawkins and one by Davis in less than five minutes. Gleason's power play goal off a Hawkins assist at 3:19 of the third quarter gave Augustana its biggest lead of the contest at 11-4.
Berry scored five times in the final period, but goals by Danko and Haley help keep the hosts at bay. Hawkins assisted on Danko's tally and Haley's unassisted goal with 2:31 remaining came with Augustana a man down.
In addition to Hawkins' five goals, Gleason, Davis, Danko and Haley each scored twice. Junior

Jack Peters (Maine South HS, Park Ridge, Ill.) went the distance in goal and recorded seven saves to improve to 2-1 with the win. Senior

Tyler Amidei (Vernon Hills HS, Vernon Hills, Ill.) had a team-high two caused turnovers.
Berry outshot Augustana by a margin of 29-28 and held a 45-29 edge in ground balls. Hart's club turned it over 17 times to 22 for Berry.
Augustana returns home on Wednesday, March 11 to start a three-game home stand with a game against Benedictine. Starting time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Thorson-Lucken Field.
